Darian Lajoie. Dragon of Dawn; 6x12 inches; 2015; acrylic, marbled paper, found objects, resin. $75 This piece is made of found objects such as pocket watch gears and broken costume jewelry. The bits seemed to form a dragon before my very eyes as I turned them around and looked at them from different angles. The dragon is encased in a layer of resin on a background of marbled paper whose colours reminded me of a dawn sky. I painted the frame to suggest the bright coming of day.
