Darian Lajoie. Garden of the Sun; 28x22 inches; 2015; acrylic SOLD I painted this piece using paper snowflakes that I cut out by hand. I pressed each snowflake to the canvas and used a palette knife to stencil on layers of colour. The effect was starburst of pattern and colour suggestive of a hot, sunny garden, with perhaps some water nearby.
